Overlooking the River Clyde, Springfield Quay is the home of Glasgow’s emerging new entertainment complex. It’s called Glasgow Quay and it’s packing with all manner of things to taste, see and do. Multiple restaurants, bars, bingo, bowling, a cinema and hotel cover all bases from entertainment to accommodation. The Quay is the sort of place where visitors can make a day of it, or a night of it, or generally stick around for as long as they fancy: there’s a lot to take in after all. Where to start? It all depends on your goals and interests. If you live for fitness, your first port of call will surely be to The Gym, part of the popular chain that promises cheap membership and 24/7 access. Families and couples will probably be more inclined to catch a film at the Odeon, which boasts 12 big screens, ultra-comfy seats and all the trappings that make the movie-going experience so enjoyable – like Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Look out for midweek movie and meal deals: a typical offer entitles families to a three-course meal at Harvester followed by a film of their choice at Odeon. Other restaurants at Glasgow Quay include Chiquito, Frankie & Benny’s, Nando’s and Panda Chinese Cuisine. With free parking and a wealth to see and do, it’s no wonder that The Quay is on its way to becoming Glasgow’s favourite entertainment complex
